Taste Place - Ames

I’ve been visiting this restaurant since my college days in 2015-2016 when it was located near Cafe B and Mr. Burrito. After a weekend of partying, my go-to dish on Sunday mornings was the hot and sour wonton soup, and it never disappointed. Everything I’ve tried there has been of excellent quality. While there can be a long wait at times, it all fades away as soon as I start eating! I frequently stop by when I'm in the area, and it brings back wonderful memories of dining with great friends. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to experience authentic Chinese cuisine!

This is the best Szechuan restaurant in Ames. It's unfortunate that they are relocating to Iowa City. Food rating: 5/5.

I had lunch here with my friends today, and as always, the food was great. We enjoyed so much that we were all exhausted and could hardly get up to leave!

I absolutely love their spicy crawfish and spicy pork!!! Best Chinese restaurants in Ames if you like spicy food!!! Highly recommend their dry pot!

If you're craving for some Szechuan cuisine, this is the place to be! It may very well be the best in Iowa. Authentic Szechuan cuisine with great flavors and well-presented.Pricing is a little on the high side but for its authentic dishes, you won't regret it. Service can be a little slow at times but that's because it's always packed in here.Highly recommended if you're looking to try some authentic Szechuan cuisine.
