La Rosa serves the best pizza on campus and, if you're in the UB North area, it's definitely one of the top spots around. Their dough is always fresh, and the pizza consistently tastes excellent. Back in the pre-pandemic days, I frequently enjoyed lunch there with my colleagues as a UB employee. While I can't wait for things to get back to normal, we've been ordering take-out for now, and it never disappoints.
With the return of college, I wanted to share my experience at this pizzeria situated right on campus. The pizza is definitely worth trying—it's genuinely authentic New York style! The cheese and pepperoni pizza was outstanding, featuring a fantastic sauce and delightfully gooey cheese. The crust had a satisfying crispiness. I would rate this pizza a strong 9.1 out of 10 Luna's. The plain cheese pizza was equally impressive, earning a solid 9 out of 10 Luna's as well.
This is undoubtedly the best pizza on campus! Faculty members enjoy a 10% discount, which is a great bonus. The slice and salad special offers fantastic value, and you’ll definitely leave feeling satisfied.
