North Hot Pot - Amherst

At the first attempt with hot pot it was a fun experience! The owners were extremely helpful and service was exceptional. If you don't have a hot pot, you're not afraid to ask. The staff is more than willing to help you so you don't feel stupid. We ordered herbal combo (their freshest vegetables), ribeye, tofu combo, noodles, rice, sesame sauce, Kimchi broth and spicy broth. Everything was delicious and fresh! Warning: the spicy broth is REALLY spicy, so you better have an iron stomach when you order it. The sesame sauce helped to take some of the sharpness, somehow had a mixture of sesame and peanut taste. We probably come back with a group of friends

The owners were absolutely wonderful. My friend had never had a hot pot so that she went through the menu and how to make his diving sauce. They were very attentive. The food was delicious and there are a variety of menu options. It is easy to be carried away with the order, but it was really not too expensive. We'll be back.

This restaurant is a fantastic and enjoyable spot for dinner. The staff and owners are exceptionally friendly and dedicated to their work. They took the time to explain how the hot pot works and frequently checked in on us throughout our meal. The ingredients are very fresh and the portions are generous, particularly when it comes to the vegetables. We enjoyed both the mushroom broth and the special spicy broth, which definitely lived up to its name! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it.

What stood out the most was how he made sure we felt welcomed and included—he wanted us to enjoy ourselves just as much as the other tables around us. Now, about the food: the outstanding beef was just the beginning. The portions of seafood and vegetables were generous and perfectly sliced for quick cooking. The marbling on the beef was incredible, melting into the broths as we eagerly devoured everything on the table. I can’t recommend this place enough! If you’re curious, definitely give it a try. You might find North Hot Pot becoming a regular spot for dining with friends and family, just like I have.

I just enjoyed a fantastic lunch at North Hot Pot! It was our first experience with this style of dining, and the owners, Jeremy and Jason, went out of their way to explain the Hot Pot method to us. They took the time to go over the menu, listened to our preferences, and suggested some delicious dishes they thought we would love. I urge everyone to check out this new restaurant! It was a fun experience, allowing us to explore new flavors. The sauces were amazing! We’ll definitely be returning to try more of the many offerings available. What a wonderful addition to the local dining scene! We'll be back for sure!
