As a part of planning, we needed the perfect caterer! Eleonore at the Village Hive was highly, highly recommended. We decided to have food caterer three times throughout our stay, for rehearsal and twice on Saturday. Leading up the day, she was prompt and was able to provide us with everything we had envisioned. Her ideas and suggestions for food had us feeling very confident going into the weekend. She BLEW US AWAY! To this day, our guests are still raving about the food. Everything was fresh and out of the world delicious. We are forever grateful for her expertise and would recommend her and the Village Hive to anyone!
We lucked out when we spotted this bakery on Main Street in Amherst. The service was kind and welcoming. This place is classic WI kindness and homemade goodness. The cookies, scones, cupcakes and other treats are to die for. We bought a little of everything for our family and we enjoyed every bite. They also have grab n go meals such as pasties, salads and pot pies. There are vegan and gluten free treats as well. My sister said her lemon gluten free cookie is the best she's ever had. It was hard for us not to buy everything they offered! The shop is small and charming. If you're near Amherst don't miss this gem.
AWESOME!!! Very friendly!!! Tasty, healthy, vegan treats Can't wait to go back there!!!
Such a cute place. Our food was delicious and I highly recommend the Almond or Lavender Latte.
This cozy magical nook has been a hidden secret of our little village for many months now. Lately I've witnessed a steady stream of high society ladies loitering about the area in hopes of stealing away some of the magic for their own catering needs. It seems the secret is out. I figure I might as well spread the word so that the public at large might also delight in the magical goodness.Allow me to first set expectations. The Swarm ain't McDonalds where you grab and go a #5 combo. Nor is it Gallotois where the maitre d' greets you at the door. This is more of a go with the flow hole in the wall place.By which I mean I think they literally cut a hole in the wall to connect to the village bakery. If the moonlight isn't shining just right you could walk past the place and never know you missed it. The dining area is reminiscent of a long hallway that might be familiar to Alice in Wonderland. If you see Molly Weaseley bustling about, do not be alarmed. You are in the right place. If Farner Maggot walks by mumbling about Tooks, do not be alarmed. You are in the right place. If a tattooed gypsy woman with mysterious eyes speaks to you, do not be alarmed. You are in the right place. And the food? Totally worth loitering for.
