I'm not sure which I enjoyed most, the food or the service. The head waiter was excellent, attentive, whilst giving us space. He spoke excellent English and went through each dish on the menu explaining where the produce was sourced and recommending what he thought we would like including drinks. The food was delicious, I recommend the foie gras to start and the monk fish, which comes with vegetables as a main. Whilst I don't eat puddings they did look amazing. I had a selection of regional cheese which was lovely. Not cheap, but worth every penny! The restaurant is located on the canal but away from the other restaurants and hustle and bustle. Nice and private. The terrace outside is lovely to sit on and shaded with canopies. Would definitely recommend.
Oustanding food , outstanding service and an oustanding location, you are made to feel like James Bond . Dont be a tourist and eat with the herd .for a few hours be treated like James Bond. Outstanding.
Sitting on the canal in Amiens, this restaurant was a true find. The hotel recommended the place and we were a little skeptical. We were wrong. This may have been among the top 3 meals we had in France. It was so good, we went back a second time. The food is first rate, the service is impeccable and the price is fair given the high quality.I would return without question were we to return to Amiens. (Note that the restaurant's name means marionettes. The restaurant is located in an old marionette shop and the building itself is over 300 years old as I recall).
It was a business dinner. One good cocktail and very disappointing food. There are many better restaurants around. But even between fast food and Les Marissons I would choose fast food.
