South 30 Diner - Amsterdam

The dining experience is exceptional and the atmosphere is like stepping into a cozy family living room! The menu is hand-written on the wall and covered with memorable construction paper. There are about ten tables to sit at. There is parking available outside on Scottish Street. In November 2021, Larry Sharpe held a campaign event here during his run for Governor of New York.

I had a fantastic breakfast experience at South 30 Diner! The food was made with love and just as I wanted it. Marie was incredibly friendly and took our order with a smile. Anita, the energetic owner and cook, knows how to make every customer feel welcomed. She greeted us warmly and chatted with everyone while we enjoyed our meal. I would give this restaurant six stars if I could.

I had one of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time at this restaurant on New Year's Day 2022. My wife and I stumbled upon this place while looking for breakfast on our way home to Rhode Island. The food was delicious and the kind owner made us feel very welcome. The potatoes were fantastic and my Western omelette was amazing! It was truly one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while.

I found this restaurant on Maps while looking for a place to have lunch today. I was in the mood for a quick meal, but after meeting Anita, the idea of rushing disappeared. She was very welcoming and friendly! My companion and I both ordered the suggested pork roast plate, which was delicious and came in a generous portion. We will definitely make this restaurant a regular stop when we are in the area again!

The restaurant had a long wait time and was short staffed, so I was close to giving them a 3-star rating for the wait. However, the food was very good and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was homey, but be prepared for a relaxed pace. I highly recommend the Sicilian omelette, which was delicious and filling. My friend enjoyed the blueberry pancakes. They also offer takeout options.
