Valentino's - Amsterdam

The lovely owner bakes the most delicious Italian bread, which is a must-try. There were four of us dining, and every one of us left with a doggy bag. My husband always orders chicken parmesan when we eat out, and after years of asking him whose he thinks is the best, he would usually say, "Chicken parm is chicken parm." Not anymore! I enjoyed the salmon with sautéed potatoes and squash, while someone in our group had manicotti. I can't recall what the fourth person ordered, but we all agreed that we've found a new favorite restaurant. When we arrived, we were the only patrons, which made for a relaxed atmosphere, but by the time we departed, the place was getting busy. This restaurant truly made an impression on all of us, with fantastic food and the sweetest owner. I'm also looking forward to dining on their patio in the summer and enjoying the beautiful view!

Excellent customized service with Vitorrio and his beautiful wife , food was authentic traditional Italian everything was hot and delicious people in the Amsterdam should support this local restaurant in our community.

Service was great. Nice ambience. Food was very good. The homemade bread was perfect. I had the chicken marsala and my husband had salmon French cooked both very tasty, potatoes were great, and the green beans with a hint of garlic were excellent. We had a carafe of wine that was very reasonably price...we definitely will be back.

Let me start off by saying the most wonderful part of my dining experience at Valentinos was the moderately cold Coors Light, aslo a quite comfy red leather midback chair. There was a total of 12 people, including my girlfriend and myself in the restaurant, and yet, it took almost an hour for our order to be taken, and then another 45 minutes for the food to be brought to us. Upon arrival the food looked unnapealing. First bite, pasta is far past overdone, to the point where linguini falls apart when picking it up, chicken was quite dry, and water tasted like blood. I'm not sad to say, but i will not be returning to Valentinos. I aoligze to anyone who has the unpleasantly of eating here.

The other review is right on. I would never recommend this place. It's surreal how bad and strange it is.
