Contribuisci feedbackGreat options for poke, great prices and great customer service! the selection of fish, rice, toppings and sauces is so great that they can order something that is only in the name poke. However, if they adhere to more traditional ingredients, they will find them fresh, well cut/forced and generous. I have two unsolicited advices to the owners/managers of the venue: 1 make some preselected combos, so customers have a way to quickly order something ground, and 2 add arugula to the refill selection. arugula, when served in the poke modest, adds a big earthy acid note and just a bit crisp. it serves as a much better replacement for gurkens, which, be honest, do not belong to fresh poke. gurken let all their juice out quickly when they cut, make all their fish and rice soggy. gurken also don't taste well soon after cutting up so the only thing left is soggy crunch. arugula will be a better, more nutritious and tasty source of crunchy.
I've had poke bowls at other places that made me want to go back for seconds.... but not here. It was kind of flavorless and bland. They have good variety of topings and decent service so I'll give them that.Food: 2/5
I am sad that I need to change this review.I feel like this is the OG Poke spot. Our spot that we will go to was closed and I REALLY wanted Poke. My husband just wanted me to have anything that would make me happy. That moment in time, it was poke. Service was okay. The inside looks old and sad. It feels like it needs a face lift more than I need Botox. The fish didn't look fresh. Items were out of stock. I honestly thought I might get food poisoning. I still finished it though because I hate wasting food. My husband didn't finish and I picked at his bowl and then just threw it out.
My wife and I love this place. We live in Arizona, but whenever we visit Anaheim, we eat here before leaving to come home. As a matter of fact, I will not eat at any Poki here in Arizona because they just don't measure up.The food here is delicious. The service is great. The atmosphere is artsy/hip but also very utilitarian. This is because it's a small to medium-ish place. Nothing wrong with that.Plenty of choices for the quick service sushi bowls.
Time visited: 1:30ish on a Saturday afternoonService: good. The one who took our order, the man with facial hair and hat, was friendly and made sure to let us know the status of our order since the sushi was made to order Parking: there are parking spot nearby but some of these spots get snatched up quick, you might have to walk a little to get to the store . Good walking distance if you live nearbyInside: the inside is pretty simple. Lighting isn't super bright but there are a lot of windows all around so there is plenty of natural lightStore is on the corner near a large residence complex facing towards the main roadsFood gotten: crunchy roll, soft shell crab roll, caterpillar roll, Karaage, takoyakiMenu was pretty straightforward and can guide you through the processOverall the food is fine. I don't know if I would get the takoyaki again, though. Pretty standard sushi although it felt like the sushi itself is somewhat on the smaller size? Maybe it's just me I like the soft shell crab I feel like I don't see that as an option too often Hope this helps :
