Poppy Seed - Anaheim

Had a reservation at 1:15pm didn’t get seated until almost 2:00pm. Took forever to get our drinks after putting in our order. Asked what took so long and was told they wanted to bring them out at the same time. Also disappointed that you couldn’t modify food off the brunch menu.

The service was extremely slow, despite the restaurant not being busy. It took a long time for us to receive our water and cocktails. Our server hurried us through the appetizers, claiming that our entrees were ready, but it took ages for our food to actually arrive. The dishes would have been enjoyable if they had been served hot. The general manager was friendly and checked on us, but overall, the service left much to be desired.

This hidden gem near Disneyland is truly underrated. The food was delightful and the service was outstanding. If you have the chance, ask for Lauren—she’s not only very friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable!

The food was beautiful and delicious and the service was warm and friendly. We’ll definitely be back.

Service was excellent. The only reason I gave it a 4 star was because the hostess, the person that seated us was not friendly at all. She didn’t seem happy to be working.
