After calling the front desk, concierge, and food service, we were passed around, hung up on, and after much frustration, finally reached the dining line. Joe from the dining line was helpful and discovered that our last name was mistakenly entered in the system. He suggested we try the QR code again with the incorrect last name, but it still didn’t work. Feeling defeated, we ended up ordering through DoorDash. The king room we received looked nothing like the photos online. It was quite rundown, with outdated brown decor everywhere. Where were the bright blue rooms advertised? Don't be fooled by the attractive pictures; you likely won't get a room that resembles them. There were stains on the wall near the bed, the bathtub was scratched from heavy use and wouldn’t drain properly, and there were no hooks in the bathroom for towels. As a result, we had to keep asking for new ones, which we felt uncomfortable doing considering the drought situation in California! The room and bathroom were also on the smaller side. The worst aspect was the AC unit. The thermostat was dysfunctional, causing the air to run excessively cold regardless of the temperature we set. We eventually had to turn it off completely. I suspect the vents hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, as I experienced an allergy attack that typically only occurs in very dusty environments. This isn’t just a slight against housekeeping; it points to the hotel’s age. We even had to buy a humidifier from CVS because my 12-month-old became congested due to the dusty and poor-quality AC. Overall, the room felt old and grimy, with a dreary brown theme that made it hard to believe it was clean. While the price is reasonable given the proximity to Disney, there are several newer hotels in the area that are just as close and don’t charge $24 a night for parking. I won’t be returning to this hotel.
We stayed here for a family trip to Disney and a day by the pool. We chose this hotel because it was within walking distance to the park and seemed to offer a family-friendly pool with a small splash pad. Our room was clean, but the walk to Disneyland turned out to be longer than we expected, though it was still manageable. Unfortunately, the pool was a major letdown. It was dirty and poorly maintained, and with only about 20 lounge chairs for such a large hotel, it felt overcrowded. One large group monopolized the entire area, blasting music and smoking hookah, which was far from the relaxing family atmosphere we had seen online. This definitely put a damper on the end of our trip and led us to leave early. In the future, we'll choose a hotel closer to Disneyland with a larger pool. As for walkability, while it is possible to walk to Disney, after a long day at the park, you'll likely prefer a shorter trek.
As for the rooms, they are just below average now. I swear they used to be better. Nearby activities include Disneyland, of course! It's a bit too far to walk, but they do provide a shuttle service. As for food and drinks, the Starbucks inside the hotel was disappointing. Both the drinks and food were not great at all.
I would not choose to stay here again. Because we were in town for a conference this was the chosen accommodation. The room was gross. The carpet was nasty and torn. The desk was dusty, fridge was frozen and we found bugs in our shower. The AC never shut off and the room was still warm. I took photos of the stains on the walls, torn carpet and bug in the shower. On top of this, for 4 mornings in a row we were woken up with people protesting outside of the front entrance. They were banging pots and pans and using loud horns. Overall not a great stay. We did not have much interaction with staff but the lady at the desk when we checked in was very nice.
Was here for the IACP Traffic Safety conference. Had a room in the hotel as well. Room was clean and were kept clean daily. Staff was friendly and courteous. AC in the meeting rooms worked well, maybe too well as there were some rooms that felt absolutely frigid. Food in the restaurant was good but expensive. Apart from being close to Disney there were not a lot of other food options in close proximity to the hotel. Overall a good stay, but not very walkable as to the overall area.Nearby activities: Only nearby activities are Disney and the Angel's stadium(but only if you drive to the latter).Walkability: Unless you are going a mile or more for other food options you're going to need a car to be getting around.
