Good pizzas and good brews. Really enjoyed the Fairweather IPA and Arctic Apple Ale. Side salads are HUGE. Chicken Rockefeller has tons of meat. Call of the Wild reindeer sausage flavor is a little lost with all the mushrooms but the spicy ranch from the Moose Ranch Salad was a great dipper.

This is the brewery that brews the beer for Moose 's Tooth. The best thing about them is that they have trained and raised up many folks that have gone on to start their own breweries. And all of those breweries make better beer than Broken Tooth. While Broken Tooth 's beer isn 't bad , it 's also not great . Their year-round beers are desperately in need of an update or refresh. The beers are stale and dated, and look like they are from the early 2000 's. The seasonal offerings are much better but...are still ho-hum compared to the other breweries in Anchorage. A signature trait of their beers is that most have an odd tartness . It works for some styles they make (like their fruited wheat beers , but makes many other styles taste off . It also gives all their beers a samey-ness. (maybe it 's their house yeast strain that does this? Almost all the beers feel flabby and rushed. Many beers taste overly sweet. Lots of things taste oxidized. Lots of things have young-beer-off-flavors: butter, green apple, etc. The seltzers are both cloying and overly acidic the point of being undrinkable. Just about everything is hazy and murky in appearance. Their sour beers, when they rarely brew them, are very off. Their best beers, by far, are their German and Bohemian pilsners, but they rarely brew them. I love Moose 's Tooth. And Broken Tooth beers are perfect for beer you drink while eating pizza. But for beer that stands on its own, it needs a lot of work. You won 't ever find me ordering Broken Tooth on tap anywhere other than Moose 's Tooth or Bear Tooth, and you certainly won 't find me buying a six-pack. I love Moose 's Tooth and Bear Tooth. It 's obvious that a lot of tender care, love, and devotion goes into that food. I just wish they showed that same care toward their beer.
Great beer! Not open to the public, must go to Moose's Tooth or Bear Tooth to get some.
