Good food, about average price for a hotel restaurant (probably overpriced by 10-15%, but after a long day of travelling, is acceptable). Service was exceptional the three times I/we ate here. Our waiter/waitress were all attentive, quick to refill anempty glass, and the kitchen was quick to get our orders out. The food was prepared reasonably well with one exception: the fishand chips were unusually greasy to the extent it really took away from the meal. The breakfast meals were great (I was travelingwith a party, so we each got a different meal, no complaints to be had). The chicken Caesar wrap was very good, plenty ofchicken and the Caesar dressing was not overpowering. In closing, I hope your dining experience is as good as mine was duringour stay.
The experience was quite disappointing, especially considering Alaska's standards. To be fair, I only tried the Old Fashioned cocktail. It was made with granulated sugar and served with regular ice cubes. What really detracted from the experience was that the glass was completely coated in grenadine syrup. When I requested a new glass because it felt sticky, the replacement was just as bad. I did order the smoked salmon pâté appetizer, which was decent—not outstanding, but certainly not something to complain about.
I came here with my husband while visiting beautiful Alaska, wanting a waterfront dinner. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 drinks. The drinks were pretty good, but for $18 we got a shrimp cocktail that consisted of 6 pieces of shrimp in a wine glass full ofmixed greens with hardly any cocktail sauce. At nearly $3 for each piece of shrimp we expected it to be amazing, but it honestlydidn't taste completely fresh and one of the shrimp was not fully cleaned and we had to pull the Intestines out beforeeating. Overall. This restaurant is overpriced if you were expecting good waterfront food.
I visited for dessert and cocktails, but unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The berry cosmopolitan was undrinkable, and the old fashioned was poorly made. The berry cobbler arrived more like a soup with a scoop of ice cream on top, and there was barely any crumble to enjoy. Before leaving, I decided to have a simple cup of coffee, but it was packed with coffee grounds, making it undrinkable. Fortunately, it was served in a clear mug, so I was able to see the grounds before taking a sip. If I could, I would give it zero stars.
