Make our trip from Texas Canada Alaska, I would say it's a stop shop in Anchorage. Mabuhay! A must for our refill of food supply, lol. We visit both Store Stop N' Shop and Manila Bake. Ate in Stop N' Shop was very friendly and welcoming customer service. She also gave us further tips on where and what to visit in Alaska. At Manila Bake the Kuya and Nanay were busy with other customers at Manila Bake (please be patient), but we were very well looked after when it was our choice to pay. I even ask Nanay to fill up my hot water thermostats to take me to the street that gave them friendly. This is our second time back in both shops of Howard and Seward, AK. Grocery pa more and fill our bells on the way to Denali and Fairbanks. Maraming Salamat po!
First visit and disappointed. I looked at the baked things they had a choice of. I saw the empanadas that were a little small I had earlier. There were no labels, so I have to ask what the fillings were (fangs, beef, etc.). I stood at the counter and waited to wait for what looks like a long time. I heard workers behind the curtains and even a man came out to go to the register. But he came back and went back to the back without recognizing my presence. Lola came to help me. There was a register on the bakery side, but I was asked to go to the food check that a long line work with a cash register. I bought empanadas and cheese bread. I tried the Empanadas first and I was disappointed. It was hard and the fillings were dry and tasteless. I tried another one when the first one came from an old batch. The same...dry and hard. By the way, I tried the cheese bread and the cheese fillings were hard (kunky pieces and did not melt with the bread pastry (spot it). Resigned. I have a mixed opinion to give them another attempt, but the prices were quite high. I don't care if the baked goods taste good. Customer service is missing and my visit was 2:30. On a positive note, the foods are wider than the typical Asian markets.
