The service has been sluggish, likely due to understaffing, and I've experienced issues with incomplete orders and drinks that never arrived. This restaurant was once one of the best spots in town for sushi, but now I would consider it mediocre at best. If you have time to spare, you might still give it a try.
I've noticed that the online menu differs slightly from the in-house menu, so I’ll have to remember to take a picture of it next time. What keeps me returning is their Japanese curry—it's incredibly tasty! It’s not too spicy, but it's served piping hot and bursting with flavor. The potatoes are perfectly cooked, and I appreciate the smaller chicken pieces, as I’m not a fan of large chunks. I also enjoy their cooked sushi rolls (I’m pregnant, so I can’t review the raw options). While they don’t have a kids' menu, I ordered a side of rice and a two-piece chicken skewer appetizer for my 4-year-old, which was just the right portion for about $10. They even included soup and salad for her. I absolutely love this place and am sure I'll be back before the week is out!
The sushi boats featured yellowtail, scallops, toro, tuna, salmon, albacore, mackerel, and other selections that I can't quite remember, but it was all amazing. This was the best sushi I've ever had! Congratulations to Peter's Sushi for earning this humble Yelper's award! While their sushi is incredible, don’t overlook the veggie jjampong and miso cod. The veggie jjampong is a special off-menu item, and I’ve never tasted anything like it. It’s incredibly flavorful, with the perfect level of spice that leaves you feeling warm and refreshed. I highly recommend it! The next time I’m in Alaska, you know where I’ll be!
I came here years ago and there was a spicy tuna tower on a specials menu. I have to order it every time I come now it's so good and unique. This time I came just for the tuna tower and like usual it did not disappoint. It's not a traditional roll it is more like a layered cake with rice on the bottom, crab, avocado, spicy tuna, spicy mayo, eel sauce, sriracha and finally some sesame seeds. I always ask for a fork because it is a bit frustrating to try and eat it with chopsticks. I asked to see if it was still on a specials menu because there wasn't one on our table and the waitress said it is. The price did go up recently though and I'm not sure it's worth $23.
My friend recommended so that I decided to try and was not disappointed!! The raw fish was very fresh and thick sashimi cut was just what I needed. The service was very attentive and friendly. I stayed for a long time talking to my friend, but they were not pushy about clearing the table and let us stay comfortably. I would definitely return to try other food here very soon!!
