That Wing Place Midtown - Anchorage

I absolutely love this place! The staff is incredibly friendly and always has a smile on their faces. I always feel welcome here, and the restaurant is consistently clean. Now, let's talk about the main reason to dine out: the food. This spot offers some of the best meals I’ve had in Anchorage! The Italian beef sandwiches are outstanding, the sweet potato fries are long, thin, and deliciously crunchy at the ends, and the Italian ices are fantastic, especially on a hot summer day. Plus, they serve an authentic Chicago-style hot dog, which is a rare find! Another bonus is that they have daily specials—like on Twosday when Italian beef sandwiches are half off, and all week long, you can get a hot dog buy one, get one half off! You really can't beat that!

Many thanks for their eating and excellent customer service. the owner is proud of his place and the workers keep it always nice and tidy. I have often been here (possibly several times in the week) and it has become a first name base and to get to know my order. a definitive feeling of the hometown chicago far away. beautiful large portions also! I never left that I am not full and satisfied. even if they order the burger, they go for the speck and extra patty. like a classic chicago burger, it will be stacked and chaotic! they will not be disappointed, and they will lunch for the next day. They also do well on their cheeses exactly the right quantity. Italian ice is not like her regular frozen ground, it is smooth not tart, definitiw an attempt after a long hike or hot day worth. daily specials they have not all tried, but probably is due to the time I take out from alaska.

Great food, the owner is one of the nicest businessmen I met. he takes care of his customers, it is obvious in his inviting positive presentation. he made sure that his cashier ordered me a meal that saved us money. I'll go back there. deep dish chicago style pizza next!

The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. They serve Chicago-style food in Alaska, which is quite a unique combination. I tried a couple of hot dogs and some fries; both were quite tasty and the fries were fresh. Considering the location, it was impressively close to the authentic experience. They also offer deep-dish pizzas, but the downside is that they take 45-50 minutes to prepare. I definitely plan to return to try one of their pizzas!

You'd think it's a chain from the name and design, but it's not. It's also a pretty good place for lunch. Everything ive had is good, fresh fries and fresh fixings on the dogs. I will say the value could be better but this is Alaska after all. The brats and dogs are all good, and the bacon cheeseburger is also pretty great. I've never had their pizza, but they do sell that as well.
