This lovely old Manor House has a charming character, although it is a bit worn in places. The grounds are beautiful, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed for two nights in a comfortable and spacious room, featuring a large bed with a firmer mattress. While the bathroom and shower could use some updating, they were clean and functional. The restaurant is quite competent, serving excellent poached eggs for breakfast, but please note that the kitchen will be closed to guests starting August 6, 2023. They are expected to still host functions, so check their website for more details. Overall, I would rate the rooms a 4, service a 5, and location a 4. Hotel highlights include its peaceful atmosphere.

I only visited for afternoon tea, so I can’t comment on the full dining experience, but if this afternoon is any indication, they must be exceptional! Definitely a solid 5-star rating. Service: 5, Location: 5. Hotel highlights: Luxury.

I was a guest at a wedding last weekend. Beautiful grounds and lovely picturesque building. The bedrooms were nice and spacious, lovely firm mattress! The food for the wedding was brilliant and a good selection for breakfast. The staff were helpful and friendly for the whole visit, the gardens were beautiful and there was plenty of garden games for the kids too! The only downside was a small carpark but there was alot of guests. We were recommended the afternoon tea many times so we will be back to try that soon!
