We stopped at Hidal Palace for lunch on our way to Athirapilly. The average lunch served there is a good option if you're not looking for variety.
This restaurant is located on the way to Aathirappally waterfalls, approximately a few kilometers ahead. There are only a few restaurants near the falls, and most of them close down by evening as the waterfalls close by PM. We had both dinner and breakfast here, and found that they have a very limited menu (Biryani, Noodles, and Chapathi for dinner, and Upma and bread toast for breakfast). It seemed like there was less room occupancy that day, which may explain the limited menu options. Unfortunately, we did not enjoy the taste of the food on that day.
The food is good in the restaurant but the menu is very limited and fixed for each meal. There are two separate family rooms for meals also for big families and groups. The restaurant was neat and clean with good stainless steel cutlery, air conditioned and comfortable sitting.
Good place to stay, staff helpful, should improve in variety of food. Overall good place to stay. Rooms are maintained proper and tidy
