King long Angouleme

6 of us had dinner here,good choice of dishes,very friendly staff,and well laid out restaurant. Yes it is not like a UK chinese buffet,but thats because its in france!!

The last review I wrote on this place indicated that standards were dropping. With some trepidation I returned for a lunch in early August. I found more choices in the sushi selection, more choice in the dim sum section and really quite reasonable pre prepared hot dishes than before. This Is not what the English wil expect but if you buy into the buffet concept it serves a craving for Chinese food reasonably well! It is very reasonably priced for an eat as much as you like buffet lunch. Will I go again? Yes.

This restaurant used to be great when It first opened. The standards have dropped off drastically. I wouldn't recommend it anymore

The buffet here is not huge, but there are options to have dishes stir-fried by the chef, so not everything is pre-cooked. The starters (i.e. the small fried options like nems and calamari and nuggets) were numerous, the rest of the options much more limited. The restaurant is clean and airy, but there are a lot of very bright lights, particularly around the base of the buffet, so if you have anyone sensitive to these perhaps try somewhere else. For a French Chinese restaurant this isn't too bad, but if you're used to UK or US Chinese buffets you might find it disappointing.

We have been to this restaurant three times now. It can be busy but not always so. A large choice of dishes, based on more than one cuisine, which are continually refreshed: something for everyone including having your own choice of ingredients freshly cooked. Desserts are mainly ice-cream, sorbet and fruit. The price is fixed: more expensive in the evening, on Sundays and on bank holidays as you would expect but still great value. Food is labelled in English. The restaurant is surrounded by many others and near a shopping complex so a good place to start if you are new to the region. Staff have always been pleasant and efficient but as it is a buffet don't expect to be served your meal. Payment is a the till at the bar.
