I passed this place several times over the few days I was in Angra and each time there were locals eating at the outdoor tables, so I figured it must be good. Sure enough, when I finally got a chance to try it, the food was above par. Excellent grilled swordfish served with a flavorful salad and potatoes. A bargain at only $12. The service was also wonderful. Will definitely dine here again before I leave Terceira.

We tried this place based on reviews, and it didn’t disappoint. Not much for ambiance, it’s just a standard diner. I ordered a fried fish dinner (they were out of swordfish), and my wife got the garlic steak. We split a small bottle of wine. It took about 30 minutes to get our food. The fish had an excellent batter, and was 2 large pieces, along with boiled potatoes and salad. My wife’s steak was very garlicky (and delicious), and came with salad and French fries. Total bill was €24.75. My credit card wouldn’t work when I went to pay, and worked at another restaurant, so I’m not sure what the problem was. I payed in cash. Just a note, for other Americans used to the “standard” restaurant process of paying at the table, that doesn’t seem to happen here. You simply get up and receive your bill/pay at the counter, instead of your waiter/waitress bringing the bill to you and clearing your plates.

My husband and I just LOVED this place! We stumbled into town (not literally : and since we love street cafes with local flair, we read the menu, saw a ten euro swordfish dinner, and thought why not?! Boy were were impressed. The price was good enough, but that ocean meal was caught locally, was incredibly fresh, and had just mouthwatering flavor. Aside from the swordfish, it came with two sides, and bread appetizers... Beer was also nice. We went back a few more times over our stay and the garlic steak was superb. Must love garlic, though! Can 't say enough about how good the food was.
