Contribuisci feedbackBest Fado and dinner experience on Terceira. The perfect setting, old fort, modern but quaint dining room. The service was choreographed to make for a most enjoyable evening. Everyone seated at the same time, an aperitif, hot mini baguette with fresh cheese and olives, wine, water, parrot fish with salad, chicken dish, strawberry cheesecake,and a fine port wine. In between all these lovely courses we were entertained by two fado singers and three musicians. So there was no chatter at the tables, no clanging of cutlery. The servers were excellent, you were never without water or wine and the plates were served and removed courteously. Top of my list.
We only had breakfasts in the restaurant, while staying at the hotel nothing special. We didn't try out evening meal, but it seemed very quiet.
After an overnight flight from Boston with little to no sleep and then a stroll thru town while the room became available it was a pleasure to find that the hotel restaurant was open for lunch. I had a sausage and cheese pizza and my wif had a pasta bolognese. Both were were generate in size and very reasonably priced.
The restaurant at Pousada S. Sebastiao is well worthy of a visit. The staff are helpful and the food is good
Amazing seriously amazing breakfast. They have all their pastries, breads and tarts made fresh onsite everyday. Their baker and rataurant staff should be given kodos for providing such quality food and service at both breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet was around $6USD if you are not staying their as a guest and the dinner menu was anywhere from $6USD for past to 13USD for steak exceptional value. Only down side is that it can be very loud. We had to listen an obnoxious party of 4 and Susan, night after night talk about US politics and Texas Universities v's Ivy League universities because of the poor acoustics.
