The Ornery Chicken - Ankeny

Every time I ordered here, I was happy with my food. But today I ordered the slides and the smoked spring bowl, and both had underboiled chicken. had a bite and was not finished. I haven't done it yet with toc. check her huh before they pull off!

From the ordering process to the pickup, great experience. We got the Nashville hot sandwich very flavorful and chicken was moist and not over breaded. The kids got strips and the ornery tots….great choices

Um, this place was fantastic. It's curbside or delivery only. I got curbside. I live about 20 minutes away, but when I got home everything was still hot and fried were still crispy. Tried the Nashville hot, Buffalo and Cajun. Got smoked versions of each and regular. I liked smoked better, she liked regular but both agreed best wings in DSM metro. Best chicken I've had since the last time I was in Nashville almost two years ago. Got the brownie for dessert and it was spectacular. Seriously worth driving to Ankeny for. 10/10 only place I'll get wings from now on.

Picked up here on a whim. So glad we did. Everything was great. Even my super picky son loved his cheekin sandwich. The Nashville Hottie and Hot Shot were fantastic. The fries are bomb. Very unique style.Y'all need to try this.
