Yanni's Grill & Vineyard - Ankeny

When we first moved to Ankeny this was one of the first places we went. We had a great time. Started the evening with a bottle of wine. (I don't drink wine, but entertained the misses. The wine was wine... She liked it, but I can't give accurate feedback on anything having to do with wine. We were given a bread basket with garlicky bread balls, and some sort of toasted bread, both were fresh and tasted great. <br/ <br/ I don't recall the name of the dish I had but it was a chicken breast stuffed with mushrooms and various cheeses. The chicken was then topped with a red sauce. My lady got a salad, she enjoyed it and has ordered it each time we have returned.<br/ <br/ The service has always been exceptional for us. Although, we always request the same server. I don't remember his name but I'd guess he's late 20's early 30's. The guy works non-stop... (If I get a chance I'll update the post with the server's name. <br/ <br/ My lady and I really enjoy this place and will return!

This place is great. They have wonderful pasta, in fact there gnocchi is to die for. Their complementary bread is great. Nice atmosphere. Would certainly recommend for a date.

One of the best lunch buffets in town. Their pizza is money and their sirloin tips are luscious. All for $7!

Our plan to close a restaurant was so our plan b, and were we not happy? with a charming atmosphere and combination of Italian and Greek eating, this is a place I would visit again. the Wednesday evening specialties were delicious and affordable and the service was great. we never ran out of water or felt like we were missing something. a member of our party got chicken and bark sauce. a person got Greek garnels with captivating. I have steak burgos, perfectly cooked steak with sautet mushrooms in a white wine garlic sauce. all three came to share with one by the side and a delicious bread basket.

The tenderoin served in the pita was not remarkable, but everyone has sneaked around the buffet. I would have avoided the buffet because they are usually slandered, but I made a mistake this time.
