Mark's Midtown Coney Island

I was so happy with my meal until I went to pay my bill and heard 2 servers saying that they didn't believe that I had seen a dr and received an ok, meaning that I was not contagious after being sick for a week. I would not jeopardize others' health if I had not. I considered going back to the table and replacing my $10 tip for an $8 meal with something less, but why be that petty? Hmmm, there's plenty of other restaurants.

We often visit Mark's Midtown Coney Island because of the selection of dinner and breakfast items which are served all day. The service is great. I think the Ruben sandwich is the only thing I have tried that could use some redesigning. Otherwise, this is a great place to eat!

We we 're schooled by the waitress that we were not supposed to have sat down at a table before they cleaned it, however all my wife and I did was to pick this table (because there was this sign please seat yourself and sat our two little kids down on the seats (as they are too little yet still having fairly decent weights if you carry them too long . This waitress cleaned the table by taking away the two cups of water left by previous guests and wiping the table with one stroke, finished it in less than half a minute. And during this half a minute she complained to us that we were not supposed to sit down before she cleaned the table, it was not the way how they do things, she repeated these sentences all over as if we did not understand her the first time. It was a shame that the food could be great but she made us feel uncomfortable enough that we had to leave. I had great experience at multiple Leo 's Coney Island restaurants, but I guess I got unlucky this time presumed that this is just another Coney Island restaurant and expected similar service standard...
