I learned this from a prestigious local building inspector clint driver when I lived in the miner street near. yes, it sounds like a stage name, but it's a real guy with a tonne know about building methods, materials and the history of the construction in ann arbor. in this mostly black community, many could not afford fresh cut wood. so on the north side, from the main street west to miller to brooks and north of there were houses with many built, which was then considered scraped. it was probably higher quality wood virgin pine, maybe black walnut, oak, maple and other vs. what they now fresh cut to house improvement big box shop! the posterity should be documented and written somewhere! Hey ann arbor observer, I'm talking to you!
Great atmosphere. Best burgers I have had in a long while. Their onion rings are excellent as well. Would recommend to anyone visiting Ann Arbor.
A nice local pub with great friendly service your typical pub fair in a homey atmosphere. The burgers were good they have a huge condiment selection, but the onion rings were AMAZING, I'd totally come back just for those :
This place was recommended by a friend friendly service, nice choices of draft beer, and basic but plentiful and tasty pub grub fare.
An Ann Arbor townie favorite. Great beer, excellent bar food and delivered with the typical A2 server mentality
