Missing Italian Beefs. It would have been perfect but it was way too salty. I'll try it again the next time we're in town, could have just been an off day.
I had the Chicago Red and the Maxwell Street Style. They're decent hot dogs. Plenty of pickles and mustard. What keeps them from being good are the little things: tiny dogs, not grilling the Maxwell, so many pickles that you can't taste the meat. For $4 it's a decent bit of food, but it's not even on the level of Costco and it's nowhere near Portillo's.
They need to seriously separate themselves from Ameer's deli. I just called up there at 7:15pm and a guy told me they were closed. I told him that they don't close for another 45 minutes and he hung up on me. I already don't care for the deli because they're overpriced, are skimpy with the meat, and have terrible customer service. The people who answer the phone and runs the counter acts like doing their job is just asking too much.
These Chicago dogs are the bomb! The dogs could be sold in chi town any where and be a hit. So glad I don't have to travel 5 hours to get a top Notch Chicago dog! Yummmmy!!
