I kept returning in hopes of improvement, but the quality remained consistently low. Even No Thai, a more Americanized Thai restaurant, is better than Siam Square. It's hard to understand how a restaurant can decline to this level. I would rate it 1.5 out of 5 and it's not worth the trouble. They do offer vegetarian options.
First off, the first time you drive into the parking lot you will probably be convinced that everything is all closed up. It is not the restaurant is open. I have been craving Penang Curry for a month, today I am a happy camper! I also got Thai spring rolls, they were fantastic. It is a 30 minute drive for me to get there but worth every minute.
This restaurant is quirky in a cool and unexpected way. Despite being attached to a somewhat run-down hotel, my initial impression wasn't great. However, once I focused on the restaurant itself, my opinion changed. I ended up visiting twice in three days – once for lunch and once for dinner. I preferred the lunch menu, as the food was tasty and the service, while friendly, seemed a bit understaffed. Most dishes had great flavor, but beware that their medium-spicy dishes are actually very hot! However, the real highlight was the hand-carved decor throughout the restaurant. It was a visual feast that added to the overall experience.
Very special decoration, food is not bad, traditional Thai style, service is nice?
This is the worst food we have ever eaten. The beef was tough and lacked flavor. We have tried food from various cuisines, including Chinese, but everything we ordered at this restaurant was terrible. The pad thai and beef with broccoli were both awful. We ended up spending a lot of money on low-quality food.
