While the pink cookies still taste great to me, I have noticed that they have been thinner in recent visits. This year, I decided to treat myself to a cake for my birthday. Unfortunately, when I picked it up, I was extremely disappointed. The cake was incredibly thin and poorly decorated, with icing that did not resemble the delicious Davis Pastry icing I remember. Despite ordering a half sheet, only five of us were able to eat a small piece each before we had to throw the rest away. This experience was particularly upsetting for me, as it was the only thing I was looking forward to on my birthday, especially after the loss of my grandmother.
They offer a wide variety of pastries. I always go for their creme horns.
This quaint bakery in a small town is a hidden gem. Their pink cookies are absolutely incredible, and they also offer delicious traditional donuts and specialty cakes.
Got donuts that were soggy tasted as if they laid in oil. The twists tasted like cake instead of donut. But the pink cookies were delicious! I really wanted a good donut just didn't find it here.
I grew up eating the cream horns. They used to be phenomenal. The new management didn't buy the recipe, obviously. I purchased several the first week of July 2022, unfortunately, on my last visit home. They left big greasy spots on thecardboard, had a greasy lard like taste and gave us horrible indigestion from indigestible fat. I'm writing this review tolet you know something is terribly wrong with the shortening that you are using!!
