It is bit pricey but well worth it. 5 of us had 4 person packages, which came about $220 then tips and drinks made it to $300. You have various seafood including live lobster, fluke sashimi, various sashimi and seafood, some rolls and various side items. Top off with the lobster seafood stew.
The staff are having their own party, screaming, shreiking and laughing loudly, even more loud than the group of men next to us. Can't eat dinner because of what sounds like a fight, but is instead a woman and a man who work here carrying on their normal conversation. While there was one waitress who understood, the other women and men sat at their table talking very loudly oblivious to the fact the they had customers looking at them with wonder who the owner is that they can do this.Food was barely acceptable. Will not come back. It seems like this restaurant is for the employees to have their own party every night.
The slow death of Gaboja. I remember a year or so ago, the restaurant was always packed, seafood was fresh. Fast forward today, during a Sunday dinner, 2 tables, the fish was inedible , tasted like ammonia from the dirty water tanks. I can’t imagine how long the fish have been sitting in there to get that taste, shows how little turnover there is at the restaurant now. Prices are still high, seafood taste and smells horrible.
The food is great . The service is not super but our waitress was nice. We got so much side dishes. We will definitely go back.
Definitely prefer this place over neighboring seafood place. I am a frequent visitor of Gaboja and their service is top notch.
