Pelicana Chicken - Annandale

The food at this restaurant is top-notch, with a unique flavor not found elsewhere. I especially enjoyed the various sauces for the chicken and the Bulgogi, which is the best in the area. As someone who lived in South Korea for a year, I can attest to its authenticity. The service from Jazmine was excellent, and the owner, though I didn't catch their name, was extremely attentive and welcomed us like old friends. I highly recommend stopping by and experiencing it for yourself.

In an area surrounded by what seems like unlimited options for korean fried chicken, Pelicana really stands out! Her chicken is always well cooked and crispy with a crunchy in every bite, and even her non-chicken items are also fire. We have the spicy plane two wings, soy garlic wings, their double crispy wings, chicken sled, bulgogi dupbap and rose dukbokki. Everything was super good, but the spicy wings and the Rosendukbokki were definitely our favorites! Thank you and yell at Pelicana for the great food: I'm a loyal customer since I moved to the DMV will definitely be back for more!!

The cheese corn was decent, not as cheesy as other places I've tried, but more focused on the corn. The portion size was smaller than a friend who ordered the same dish for the same price, which was a bit confusing. The rice cakes were okay, nothing special. However, the standout dish was the crispy chicken. It was flavorful, juicy, and one of the best Korean fried chickens I've had in the area.

This was my first time at this restaurant and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the wings we ordered. We got a 24-piece order assuming they would be standard size, but they turned out to be huge! I went with a group of 4 and we ended up with 8 leftover pieces because they were so big and filling. We tried a variety of flavors including spicy honey, garlic, soy garlic, and sweet spicy. Personally, I enjoyed the soy garlic as it was on the drier side. The servers were very friendly and gave us great recommendations on what to order. The background music was trendy and it seemed like a great place to hang out.

The food here was really good I definitely recommend it. There was a slight issue with our wings, there was some miscommunication with the kitchen and it ended up taking probably close to an hour before it came out. We were given fries on the house for the inconvenience so that was nice. Quality of food was great though.
