It was a bit of a walk from the downtown, Waterfront area where we were staying but very doable. We went on a Thursday night at 7 and had a reservation but probably would have been fine without one. It wasn't too crowded. Seemed like a neighborhood type of crowd. Service was friendly and efficient. Food was delicious. We ordered a bunch of small plates to share. My favorite was the truffle gnocchi! Also had the octopus, brussel sprouts, and scallops. Everything was cooked perfectly and so tasty.
We happened to be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street, and were looking for a quiet place to grab some brunch. The atmosphere wasn't exactly quiet, in fact it was quite lively, but it didn't deter us. We were seated in the bar area, but waited nearly 10 minutes before I asked the hostess if someone would be greeting us. Shortly after that our server introduced herself, and it was smooth sailing and great service from there on out. We ordered a **** Mary, a Flatbread, and the star of the show, the Ultimate Breakfast Sandwhich, served with the most amazing crispy red skin breakfast potatoes. Everything was delicious. I'll let the photos do the talking. Would definitely return, but maybe sit in the dining room for a more relaxed experience. Parking is available in the garage a few buildings down.
Excellent bar service with really good food. We just had apps and drinks but the potatoes and lamb were really good! Highly recommend.
I hosted my 30th birthday party at Metro, and they did an amazing job! Tom was so great to work with, and his staff was fantastic and made sure everything ran smoothly and were so kind and friendly to my guests. The food and drinks were great, the bartenders made a signature drink for my space/Saturn return themed party and the food and dessert looked so nice. Awesome event, highly recommend! Thanks Tom and Metro staff!!!
This review is for the customer service. I would say that we have been to this place a number of times and enjoyed the food. We went in for my birthday on 10/7 for our 4:45p reservation. When we arrived the entire place was completely empty. The hostess took us to the smallest table in the whole place which was also wedged behind a pole. (Take a look at the picture) When I asked if we could sit at a different table she said all the other tables are reserved and quickly walked away. I decided not to make a big deal out of it because maybe there was a huge party coming in that I didnt know about. We ordered two drinks and three small plates to share. The chef 's are doing amazing things! Kudos to them. We were there for a little over an hour and not a soul came in to the place. The entire bar was empty and the entire restaurant was empty. We were literally the only diners in the place. Granted there were a number of people who went to the upstairs rooftop area. Meanwhile I ate my meal shoved behind a pole at the worst table in the whole place. Kind of ridiculous if you ask me. If you go here....Just know that if you are party of 2 you could possibly be sat at the worst table I have ever witnessed in a restaurant that presents themselves as upscale fashion forward dining. Short story way to go chef! It 's unfortunate your cooking can 't fix the problems in the front of house.
