We stopped there for dinner with our tour group. We had a set menu and ordered Vegetable Soup and Mozzarella Sticks as our appetizer, the Breast of Roast Chicken for our main and a Duo of Desserts. The food was very good. Our host provided us with the history of the restaurant that was owned by Tom Crean who was one of the original Antarctic Explorers. There was also a collection of memorabilia on display. He was a very animated storyteller, and we all had a nice evening.
Great place to hang out and meet fine locals after a fine day out on the peninsula. Couldn't recommend more highly for the history, ambiance, and friendly staff.
A bowl of chips. Great backstory of Creans bravery, grit and fortitude at Antarctic, intricate full scale replica of boat used
We just had our second visit here and it won't be our last. This is a great pub/restaurant themed around the great explorer Tom Crean. There are a variety of informational posters and photos about his achievements and adventures. The decor is wonderful, the atmosphere buzzing, food delicious, service excellent. You won't regret stopping here for lunch and refreshments.
