I mentioned that I was vegan and was thankful that one of the two female baristas spoke English. They offered almond milk and I had heard they had oats as well. At first, they seemed confused, but then the barista moved from behind the counter. This Turkish brand of vegetable milk is still new to me, as it is only the second time I have seen it, but I think it is a good addition, especially since it is not imported. I was very excited and ordered my usual favorite hot chocolate. Unfortunately, it was too sweet and did not feel very vegan-friendly. I was disappointed by the lack of communication there. Ordering with vegetable milk, they did not think to ask if I was lactose intolerant or something. I also inquired if the chocolate was vegan, and she quickly said it was not, but did not offer to make any changes, apologies, or even adjust the drink. I still had to pay for it and ended up with a bit of stomach pain, even after mentioning that I was vegan. It is a nice little place to work or study, with an open kitchen and clean facilities, but it definitely needs some improvement.
