I 've bought it by the gallon and taken it to gatherings. I have gone there in the rain when I was fiending for real, home brewed hibiscus tea. But now, Adalberto 's has taken over. Their menu is great...BUT, their Jamaica is made from an artificially flavored syrup and not the actual hibiscus tea leaves...Once you have the best, sigh...syrup Jamaica drink is like red colored sugar water, not even close to properly made red koolaid. I 'll still go there, but, without the Jamaica and the handsome gentleman behind the counter every, single time I went there (did he like own it or something? Y 'all know who I 'm talking about? it leaves something to be desired. I 'm giving this 5 stars to call attention to the situation. Maybe other ppl will read and ask Adalberto 's to step up their game a bit in the drinks menu area. Hmmm Y 'all, please ask 'em! I already have!
Well, this is it! I've been going to Carolina's Antelope off and on for over two years now. Their prices have always been fair (especially a shredded beef enchilada for $3.58) but now it's all over. They closed this location after 13 years in Antelope as of 4/30/24. I'm really picky about Mexican food and their's wasn't the greatest but it would do. But I'm really going to miss the people that worked there....very nice, helpful, and courteous. God bless you guys!!!!
Well, it's no longer Carolinas, it's now Adalbertos. I'm just glad they're not gone completely because I love to go here. My usual California taco was available so I was happy about that and it was very good pretty much the same that beef fries cheese, cilantro, onions, tomatoes, all those perfectly balanced with that nice double tortilla. Can't go wrong with that.one. Nice lady in the front. Will be coming back again.
As I'm trying to eat healthier and cut out a lot of carbs I decided to try and find a spot where I can order chile relleno a la carte and receive something that's pretty tasty and mostly good for my diet. We'll, I found it at Carolina's, and this place is not so far away from my house; so that's a good thing. The lady working the counter was great. Friendly, fast, and efficient! The little taqueria is in a strip mall and it's very clean and comfortable, and nicely decorated, too. While it's definitely not the best Mexican food I've ever had, it was good, and it's likely I'll be back.
Located inside a shopping strip, there is plenty of parking and the restaurant is fairly large. I stopped in for a chicken super burrito on my visit. The order took about 10 minutes on a not so busy night. Size wise, the burrito was fairly large and had some heft to it. Inside the burritto, the two main ingredients were refried beans and chicken with a little bit of cheese, and small dollops of sour creme and guacamole. The flavor was a little salty for my liking and overall on the bland side of things. There were two salsas, a green tomatillo and a red chili sauce. The green salsa was pretty good but the red chili sauce was a little to much chili for my preference. Overall I give it two stars, negative points for lack of flavor but it was a large quantity of food.
