Huckleberry's Breakfast And Lunch

We started our meal with beignets served with three fruit compotes and vanilla cream, which were delightful. For our main dishes, we ordered catfish, beef dip, country fried steak, and sweet cream pancakes. To drink, we enjoyed Huckleberry lemonade and caramel macchiato. Everything was simply delicious! The food was excellent, though the service was just average. For lunch, the price per person was around $10–20. Here's my breakdown: Food: 5, Service: 3, Atmosphere: 5. I highly recommend trying the Burger, Southern Fish Chips, Big Cheesy Hamburger, and Fried Okra with Spicy Ranch dip.

I previously ordered from this restaurant through DoorDash and had a great experience overall. The biscuits are definitely a 5-star item, but I did notice that there wasn't as much gravy as shown in the pictures. Additionally, the crab eggs Benedict came with a pretty small portion of potatoes, and the avocado looked a bit old. I think it might be better to dine in next time instead of ordering delivery.

When this restaurant first opened, I ordered this same dish and was really disappointed. There was barely any hollandaise sauce, the crab cakes were undercooked, and the poached eggs were overdone. However, they have made significant improvements! Now, there's plenty of hollandaise, the crab cakes are cooked perfectly, and the poached eggs are wonderfully runny. Kudos to the kitchen staff for their excellent work!

The food here is quite disappointing; it would be great if they revamped the menu and brought back some of the dishes from when it was Perkos. The bacon is excessively thin and not appetizing, and their coffee is the worst I've ever tasted. On the positive side, the service is attentive and without issues. However, the prices are quite high for the quality of the food offered. Overall, I would rate this restaurant 2 stars.
