Nice lunch - we sat in the sun, sipping cold rosé and enjoying first the best tapenade we've ever had - mild and soft. prepared with a lots of good olive oil. Also everything else (thuna tartar, grilled chicken with ratatouille) tasted home cooked - no wonder that we had local people (avec their friendly little dogs) sitting in nearby tables.
Always a good sign when locals are flocking to the restaurant. Despite being crowded we had first class, friendly service from English speaking French staff. Lovely home cooked dishes in a friendly, relaxed ambiance. Certainly worth looking out for … just go to the local bus station and it is 50 metres away.
When visiting Antibes, and you feel like some original home cooking providing the weather is clement then give La Badiane a try. Friendly staff, very good food and a reasonable set of wines suitable for an outdoor lunch. No frills but who cares as it is central so a great place to rest your weary feet whilst enjoying a flavourful lunch before the next set of sites to visit.
Service is fast! Food beautiful and good value for the south of France! Even as a vegetarian i had a number of choices! Waitress was very efficient and was bilingual!
