Le Bistrot de la Plage - Antibes

We came here 3 times in the space of a week , fantastic burgers ( but ask for well done if you don't like any pink meat). Very friendly Staff, reasonable prices and I loved their light and crispy bruschetta - very, very nice indeed.

When I say slow, I mean really slow, like almost ¾ hour (just for gnocchi?), with not so many customers. However that was our first visit and what eventually was served was very good. Second time we came, the service was normal. The waiter was cheerful and amusing. Prices are average to cheap for such a location. It's a bit out of the way if you prefer Antibes central. Worth a visit!

My wife and I have been here several times and looked forward to our dinner their tonight. We arrived and the young waiter who we had in the past was trying to seat us outside with a better view. We asked for an inside table because I am allergic to cigarette smoke. He pointed to the one lady in the area who was not smoking. Nobody else was around so we sat at the table offered. We ordered a beer and kir. When it was served another couple sat next to us and guess what? We moved inside. The older waiter who had taken over serving us had a perplexed look on his face. He was trying to be nice and seat us "inside" (with open doors to the outside and next to a smoker at the adjoining table "outside"). As we were being seated at a four top before I spotted the smoker, the waiter was removing the placemats and silverware from two places at the four top. I then spotted the smoker and moved further inside to another four top. My wife was trying to be helpful and picked up her placemat because she thought he was moving all of the place setting to our new place. He asked in a less than friendly manner where she wanted to sit. I know he was frustrated with us for moving. We have been coming to France for over 34 years but as we get older we are less tolerant of the total disregard of the few smokers who ruin the dinning experience of the many who do not smoke including children, waiters and people with allergies. I paid for our drinks and the chef/owner asked me to buy the pizza he had topped but not cooked. He knew he was not going to convince me of that because my wife had left upset over the experience with the waiter who made her feel unwelcome. The chef said: "Do not come back." I said do not worry.

The pizzas were incredible. Homemade deserts were a knock out! Staff were very bubbly and attentive. Great little place. Would definitely recommend to all who visit Antibes!

This is a little gem on the beach in Antibes. We stumbled upon this restaurant after searching for something to eat on our first night in Antibes. What a great place. Its not fancy, and resembles pizza/pasta place, very casual. However, the food is amazing. The gnocchi is simply to die for. I ate it 2 nights in a row. The pizzas looked amazing, and my husband said it was great. The staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Definitely worth the visit again. If I lived nearby, I'd eat there every night.
