We visited the restaurant on a calm sunday evening in February. Warm welcome by the owner. Very good dish of tapas and as main course the steak tartare and the magret de canard were fine in volume and taste. One remark: french fries could be better. very acceptable prices for this region of France. We'll go back during our next holidays in juan.
Was keen to visit this place, given the reviews on TripAdvisor, but what a crushing disappointment. It was mid-morning on a Sunday - there was no one else in the place, the guy that greeted us wasn't exactly warm and I didn't feel comfortable. We ordered 2 coffees, a bottle of water (which was the most expensive bottle of water I have ever had on the Riviera - €6.50) and 2 bruschettas. The whole lot came to €40.The bruschetta that I ordered made no mention of it having cheese (I don't like cheese) - but it arrived with cheese. So being hungry I picked away at the parma ham and the outside crust which wasn't coated in cheese. The guy serving asked if there was something wrong with it, I told him I didn't like cheese. He asked if I wanted something else, but my companion had virtually finished his by this stage, so it wasn't worth it.At the very least - as a gesture of goodwill, I thought he would knock something off the bill but no.I was never so glad to get out of the place. It's also noisy - on a main road and this was a Sunday and some of the road was closed off. Also, another couple came in while we were there and even though there were no other customers at any tables, this couple sat at a table for 4, but the guy made them move to another table, even though the lady expressively wanted a 3rd seat for something she was carrying. I thought he was very rude and totally disinterested in his customers. The worst experience I have ever had anywhere on the Riviera and I go about 3/4 times every year to various resorts.
Beautiful little place, really tasty food and the owner is absolutely lovely. A very pleasant and welcoming experience all round. If you are in Juan-les-Pin, it's a must!
I had the pleasure of eating here both for a fantastic and enormous brunch (23 €) and for dinner. The prices are reasonable and if you take into consideration that the food is on a gourmet level, actually quite cheap. The service is friendly and authentic and the food is simply wonderful. A must visit for anyone in Juan-les-pins.
