Old Chicago Red Hots - Antioch

I recently discovered this hidden gem and I am amazed I haven't noticed it sooner. I had the Italian beef and the cheesesteak, both of which were absolutely delicious. The cheesesteak was incredibly juicy, a pleasant surprise considering many places use cheap meat. The roll they use is also superior to the ones found at the nearby Jewel. The Italian beef was top-notch, not your average run-of-the-mill roll from Jewel. I appreciate when restaurants offer hand-cut or battered fries instead of plain fries, and theirs are definitely superior to plain fries. After my three visits in the past two weeks, it is clear that the owner prioritizes quality and takes pride in what they serve. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

I enjoyed the Italian steak sandwich very much. The Chicago dog was just a typical hot dog to me, but my husband really enjoyed it. I would definitely recommend this restaurant! The service staff were fantastic - very friendly and helpful.

The onion rings had a doughy texture, but the French fries and mozzarella sticks were excellent. Unfortunately, the hot dog buns were not very good, so overall the experience was below my expectations.

Ordered several items, including a cheeseburger. Online options were either Plain or with fries; because I didn 't want fries, I ordered plain. Got a bun and a patty, nothing else.

I haven?t written my review because I haven?t tried everything. Everything at this place is so authentic Chicago food. The Philly cheesesteaks are to die for man, the dogs the beefs and the gyros are amazing authentic and fresh.
