Pizarro Pizza Slice Shop - Antwerp

On our search for the best vegan pizza in Europe, we were in Antwerp today. We got the funghi 2.0 as a vegan pizza. The pizza was ready quickly and looked very good. The dough was slightly too dry. There was also just a little bit of vegan cheese on the pizza compared to the „normal ones“ and also not enough spices that give character (salt, rosemary, basil, thyme and oregano were not enough). This made the pizza a little tasteless. All in all it was delicious and we enjoyed every slice. If you are in Antwerp, feel free to stop by here.

Ever since I ate here last summer I keep thinking back of Pizarro whenever I eat pizza. There are plenty of great pizza places in Europe but for me their pizza was one of the best I’ve ever eaten!!

Choosing the vegan option at this restaurant is a no-brainer! The cheese melts beautifully and the pizza is delicious. As an Italian, my expectations for pizza are high, and this one did not disappoint. I opted for a pizza with vegan cheese, mushrooms, zucchini, and red onion, and it was cooked perfectly - not overdone. (Review updated on December 16, 2023)

You have the option to order a vegan pizza at this restaurant. It comes with vegan cheese, tomato sauce, eggplant, and mushrooms. Since it is made to order, it is not available by the slice. The pizza was delicious. I highly recommend trying it!
