We had an excellent beef filet, and I can only recommended the bull's tale as a starter! Great wine list, delicious desserts and an impressive cheese offer! Highly recommended, any time of the year!
We had a lovely meal in this restaurant. The décor is good and there is plenty of room to park as it is in a quiet village. We were warmly welcomed on entering and shown to our table. Some appropriate background music would be good as everyone was whispering. The meals were very good and there was something for everyone. The two young waiters were attentive, pleasant and helpful. All for a very reasonable price. I would have preferred the bill to be brought to the table rather than have to pay at the desk on the way out (but that is a small thing) I would certainly return

We first visited juni a cozy lunch to celebrate our jubilee. auberge de briant was actually our second choice our first in anzy le duc was full of a tourist bus reservation that filled out the whole restaurant. after a short trip through the beautiful and hilly landscape, we came to auberge de briant, and when we finished our meal, I felt like a thank you to the driver of this tour bus to encourage us to look for this place. as a weekday only two tables were occupied at lunchtime. the restaurant is located in a beautiful bucolic environment, but the space itself is clean and modern. we had two complete menus with an amuse bouche, a deer, a lazy (magret de canard,) cheese (we both went with aged cheese instead of ausage blanc with obst,) a desert and coffee. the total costs, along with a 50 cl carafe of decent Rhône wine, were about 80€, which I was worth as excellent for what we received. service was timely and friendly, but not intrusive. the view from the huge window of the valley below was spectacular and every product we were served from the muse to the coffee was excellent. I like to eat well, have decades of experience eating in fine restaurants (and cheap street food stalls) about the us, canada, and in Britain, France and Italy, and I am a decent cook myself, but I could not identify anything that I had changed in the food that was prepared and served in auberge de briant. it was as good as I would have asked, and any change would have only reduced its quality. highly recommended.
