C'est fantastique....en face de la belle eglise romane, ce restaurant est tres agreable. Les ingredients dans les plates sont tres frais et ont beaucoup de gout. It is fantastic ... Opposite the beautiful Roman church, this restaurant is top notch. The ingredients in the dishes served are fresh and very tasty. The host and chef duo are gracious and you are well served. This is the second time we have eaten here....my husband tried the Charollais burger served on a wonderful bread/roll with a choice of pomme frites or ratatouille, the ratatouille was fantastic as was the burger. We shared a salad adorned with tomatos, ham/lardon and house made croutons. I splurged on mushroom ravioli in a cream/cheese sauce. Their menu has poisson/fish, salads and meat dishes. We went home happy. Anzy-leDuc is between Paray le Monial and Marcigny off of Route D982 and well worth a detour.
This auberge is located diagonally above the road in this small village of the beautiful church and abtei. it is definitely worth when they are for lunch or dinner in the city. eating was very good for a small town in rural france. my wife, and I had both the special for the day, that was an salad, steak and kartoffel. nothing exotic to be safe, but well executed and served with a smile and charm. the owners have a fairly large basset dog that goes from table to table, forlornly look at diners for a handout. we asked, but they said we should not feed the sad animal. judging from its size was probably the best advice. I would definitely return. highly recommended.
We drove from burgund (beaune) to sarlat in the sw from frankreich. it came late and we saw a sign for this restaurant. it turned out that it was closed over the road from a Romanesque church from the year 876! it seemed to be, but the door was open, so we went in and were welcomed and said to sit somewhere in the empty restaurant. we took a window table and started with a local wine and a bottle of badoit. we saw our menus and went with a menu. martha chose a tasty pork and I had a steak from one of the local charolais. both were good.
