On a steep staircase you will find one of the best bars in the world. The hotel is located in a quiet neighborhood, it is a small place, clean and stylish. The bartender/owner is a wonderful master who is awarded in the production of delicious cocktails. I appreciated his attention to detail and presentation. The prices are reasonable and the drinks are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. There are a number of top shelf whiskys to choose. I tried a few different whisky options and ended with a gimlet. I was looking for something else when I found a bar tonight. I'm very glad I found this place instead. Although we both speak different languages, we had a great conversation. I think someone would feel comfortable here. I don't know when I'm back in Aomori, but when I get back, Bar Cord will be one of the first places I'm going. I highly recommend it. Great drinks, good atmosphere and wonderful hospitality.

My wife and I visited Aomori in early December and found this small stylish bar a short walk from our hotel. After a steep flight of stairs you go to the bar and face what seems to be a great Leonardo Da Vinci fresco of the last Supper. Spectacular! The owner/bartender has personally decorated its furnishings in a warm, tuning and cozy way. The bar is well equipped with wonderful selections of most adult drinks. Cocktails and food have been prepared professionally and enjoy well. The high rating is well deserved and should take your travels near Aomori, give this place a visit!
