Trattoria Il Boccio - AOSTA

Abbiamo avuto due pasti fantastici qui; la prima sera è stata eccellente e la seconda sera siamo arrivati in 14, 7 adulti e 7 bambini. Il cibo, il servizio e l'atmosfera erano straordinari, i ravioli di gamberi erano divini. Yuri Gianga è stata la parte più grande delle nostre richieste.

Il miglior ristorante di Aosta. Ampio spazio per sedersi. Cibo eccellente. Leggermente nascosto, quindi è necessario...

...il cibo è nella media, i prezzi sono onesti. Ho ordinato le mezze maniche, che sono arrivate al mio tavolo in 5 minuti, così ho chiesto se fossero precotte e la cameriera mi ha guardato in modo divertente dicendo... certo che no! Alle 21:45 eravamo solo io e un'altra persona nel ristorante, e hanno deciso di spegnere la musica, facendomi sentire come se fossi costretto a lasciare. Il servizio al cliente è fondamentale nel settore della ristorazione.

Sitting outside was nice, the place and waiters have informal relaxed atmosphere. We enjoyed the time but not the food. Not sure why this restaurant received such high rating. The Carpaccio plate seem to use cold cuts, not raw meat, sprayed with olive oil and tomato. Main plate, polenta and meat was inedible the meat was very salty and the polenta was tasteless. We are not Italian speakers. They provided few fixed price one page menus Italian only. We needed the waiter's help to understand it. The one we used posted a 1st, 2nd and main plates was marked 20 Euro but apparently the main plate had a high extra charge of 14 Euros by itself so we ended up paying 34 Euros each, for this meal which unfortunately left us hungry. This restaurant was on a list of discounted restaurants (by our hotel) but they refused to acknowledge that and did not provide a discount.

Lunch for 15 euros. Good choice and good service.
