What happened to the delicious food? I used to tell everyone....you want the best breakfast go to Mollies. Not anymore. The biscuits and gravy taste like pepper and milk. No sausage or bacon flavor. Obviously a processed mix they added milk to. The hash Browns were practically raw....the cook didn't even bother trying to brown them at all....tasted like watery shredded potatoes. Their bacon is still great as well as their sausage. The scrambled eggs were over cooked to the point of turning brown....they should try that on their hash Browns. Eggs should be fluffy. I would not recommend this spot anymore. Which is too bad cause in this small town they used to be known as the best weekend breakfast spot. I think Tom's burgers has risen above Mollies and that's pretty bad. Skip this place until they bring in a new cook....I know I will.
Mollie's is busy and there is a good reason for this. The Kountry Kitchen is a larger version of the Cafe. The menu for the Kitchen and Cafe are the same. It features large portions of comfort breakfast and lunch choices. We had a short wait late Saturday morning, which in thebpastbhas been longer. The booth seating we were given was close and tight. The time to get our meal was reasonable. The server was fairly attentive, under the circumstances since it was very busy.
Food was goood! Especially for the price. The waitress on the other hand could have made us feel way more welcomed than she did. We were rushed our refills 2 of 4 soft drinks were attended to and got eye rolls and scoffs when reminding her that 1 of our 3 coffee were decaf.. but what really got to me was when she poured 1 of the coffees in the middle of the table, right in front of my 2 toddlers and told Them to watch out... Not nicely, just flat out, Watch Out.I figured she had a long morning but honestly, we went in there with such joy and excitement. That is a No when coming to Kids and Pouring Hot coffee over someone! You Do Not Pour Over Someone, Specifically Hot.Now when it came to adding on pie, because I heard they were amazing, she blatantly ignored me, literally more than 4 times. I went through 3 people to try to order all leading back to, you're waitress will take that order for you. Still nothing, finally sister says something to another person and finally, we have pie.
One of the best spots in Apple Valley.I've tried a bunch of menu items and I haven't been disappointed.Pat is one of the best waitresses I've ever had, she's so funny and very welcoming.Definitely recommend.
