Contribuisci feedbackI have planned a trip to be near a beach. even during the weather it is still cool. I am marriott bonvoy member and this hotel was relatiw close to the apartments and port aransas beach. at the arrival and at the reception lady was super nice, knowledgeable and helpful. I think her name was a sweet and friendly face. d gave us great recommendations for the small town hidden gems, mickeys was a hit! I support my stays mainly because they follow the ton and standard for everything that is to follow. our room was her average fairfield in this opposite, yet it was clean and everything worked right. we will definitely go back in the near future.
We recently stayed at this hotel on the coast, choosing it because of its brand name, Fairfield by Marriott. We have always had great experiences with the Marriott brand in the past, so we had high expectations. Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet those expectations. The room I was given was not well-maintained and seemed dirty. There were marks on the walls, including in the bathroom, some of which were dark, greenish, or looked like they were from previous guests. The carpet was old and stained, the closet was dirty with handprints visible, and the refrigerator needed to be cleaned before use. There was no thermostat in the room, but the maintenance man helped us figure out how to operate the AC. The bathroom had a shower head with hard water buildup, leading to water shooting out to the sides during showers. I also spotted small cockroaches, chipped walls, and a need for caulking. The pool area was dirty with trash flying around, and the pool itself looked neglected and dirty. The front desk staff in the morning seemed inexperienced and had to constantly check on things in the back, while the night staff was more helpful. Overall, this hotel did not meet the standards we expected from a Fairfield by Marriott and I will not be staying here again.
Staff competant. Had an issue June 2019) still unresolved. Issue revovled arround an accident that occured, managment let response go to the corporate insurance. 8 month later still under review'. Never had any follow-up by local staff never had any intention of compensation for accident. Would be nice if local managment would have called to inquire about status. Very unlike other Fairfield stays.
Coming from tn, this is our usual visit in this area of Texas because it is a good half point between my family. rise up and down the bypass and I can go to see someone in under 30 minutes. this special stay exceeds expectations and I will tell them why. we booked for 4 nights and everything was perfect, exactly what I expect. our third night the air conditioning goes out, it is on, but not cool. so we wake up in a room that is 75 degrees we are? ok, so we are dressed and go for the day, we keep at the reception and let them know that the air no longer cools in the room and for the maintenance asked to look at it. we have been extinguished all day in the night, and when we return to our room? it's so cold. they have literally placed a new air conditioning in the room. now we are the kind of people who keep our house 63-65 straight and with fans on sleep when I say it was a divine to see that they have a new unit in and chilled the space for us. I think that went after the extramile. I was really impressed and very cool the rest of the trip. Many thanks for their hard work. we will definitely come back.
The Fairfield Inn is a typical Fairfield hotel that is about 5-6 years old. The room was clean, but maintenance was lacking as the walls were stained, scratched, and damaged. The furniture showed a lot of wear and tear. The bathroom was clean, but the shower was not great as hot water was cold and cold water was hot. Housekeeping only came upon request. The internet was easy to use but had no extended options. There was a 24/7 gym and a small pool. However, the surrounding area seemed sketchy with many truckers and people hanging out in the parking lot. The neighboring old motel looked rundown and ready for demolition. There were also low-income housing units nearby. There were no nearby restaurants except for McDonald's or Pizza Hut, so everything else was a ferry ride away in Port Aransas or back in Corpus Christi. Overall, for around $150, it was too expensive for an average Fairfield experience. A fair price would be around $125.
