Le Patio - Arcachon

Amazing inventive cuisine with fresh, mostly local products. I tried the sole in Thai sauce with shiitake carrots and peas...fabulous. The amuse-bouches are always different and delicious. Service is efficient, friendly and personnal.

We had a four course dinner at this restaurant which was an overal pleasant, but not extraordinary experience. As my partner does not drink alcohol, the suggestion was to have a glass of orange juice to start with. Which is fine, however surprising to see that a restaurant at this level serves orange juice from concentrate, not freshly squeezed (whilst still charging 9€ . Also, one could doubt if this is the best suggestion taking into account the food that followed, knowing that nowadays there are so many non alcoholic alternatives available, such as mocktails, infusions, etc, was this the best pairing? The food itself was good, fine cooking, nicely presented. Service was friendly but not perfect: there was no suggestion for wine pairing by the glass. I just picked a couple of different glasses myself (including a great Hungarian wine . Also, the main course was served while there was no wine on the table. Furthermore, my partner’s third course (since she’s pregnant, she cannot eat unpasteurized cheeses was replaced with a very simple garden salad a but uninspired. Here I note that we made the restaurant aware of the dietary limitations well in advance. Dessert was delicious. Price value: OK.

The patio is a restaurant as we love them! a smiling welcome, a service that can adapt to the customers, an imaginative and respectful chef of the products and its terroir. All this equation for a seamless result: we have been regaled from beginning to end!bravo!

Lovely welcome in a nice setting. We took the discovery menu. It was a pleasure of the eye and taste buds. Poetic plates by presentation, delicate and original flavours at last brief run to discover this table if you don't know it. I'll be back on my next vacation.

Delicious from beginning to end. beautiful room and patio. well provided wine map: the margaux we chose was excellent. really is worth the little word of the leader when he leaves. It's always nice!
