When we asked if he would at least juggle his utensils, he misunderstood and thought we requested a shrimp toss, to which he replied, “No, people can choke.” We clarified our request, yet my son even tried to entertain by rolling a fork on his finger, mimicking the usual spatula tricks, but the chef ignored us, finished cooking, cleaned the grill, and left. It was incredibly dull. I approached the managers about our experience, and they simply apologized, saying the chef had been cooking for a long time. They offered us complimentary scoops of ice cream as compensation, but honestly, I don’t see how this restaurant can remain in business much longer at this rate.
It's a teppanyaki and sushi restaurant, and it was just as delicious as I had hoped. The teppanyaki cooking performance was impressive. The menu offered enough food for four people with just two dishes. All the other customers took their leftovers home without exception. The only downside was the service; the reception, ordering, and serving staff were not very attentive. However, the teppanyaki chef was friendly and did a great job.
This is our go to place for business reunions. Always good.
Tokyo Wako is one of our favorite restaurants. They have excellent teppanyaki, our favorite fried rice, and friendly prompt attentive service. We always have an enjoyable meal here.
We went for a birthday celebration and had a great time. We got seated quickly and our cook was friendly. Food was good, portion size was not as expected but we will for-sure be ordering more next time!
