Japhy's Soup Noodles - Arcata

My favorite soup and noodles in this town. I went here twice in one day because it was SO hearty and nourishing and I just wanted to have that other dish I was torn between choosing. So basically, a green chicken curry with veggies and rice for lunch followed up with vegetarian noodle bowl for dinner. Plenty of veggies to go around here with both meat and vegetarian options! A definite do-over and must-stop.

This was my first time trying Japhy’s in Arcata. I’m not a huge fan eating just soup for lunch but I thought I could go for a soup and salad type of meal. I got clam chowder which I thought was pretty mediocre. It felt like the soup was crowded with potato’s and chives. I would stick to getting clam chowder at a seafood restaurant. The salad cost $5.50 and it was just lettuce, a few carrots, and a lot of ranch. A side salad for that price should have at least a couple of other vegetables in it. I wasn’t impressed by this place but people seem to enjoy it. It was not my cup of tea or should I say it was not my cup of soup.
