I like Firehouse and will keep supporting them and eating there, however...I give 3 stars because this location disappointed the other night. I've normally gotten the Engineer sub and had excellent experiences. I go for the medium and it fills me up, or I have a second meal/snack left over. My boyfriend and I ordered the Large Firehouse Steak Cheese to split for dinner and we were extremely excited to satisfy our cheesesteak cravings. I didnt check the sandwich before I left. Got home and there wasn't much to it. Lacking in filling all around. There were hardly any peppers and onions and the meat could barely be seen without opening the sub up. As you can imagine, it wasn't enough food like it should have been. It tasted great, I'm not putting down the quality. I wanted more. Maybe I need to order double meat next time? But it definitely didnt look like the photo or other subs I've had there in comparison to the amount of filling between the bread. Staff was friendly and they were closing up, so I didnt call because I figured they were already heading home.
Unfortunately, they must have burned something in the kitchen during my visit, and I also observed that the light in the women's restroom flickers constantly. It's been quite a while since I last came here, and I don't anticipate returning anytime soon.
I visited this restaurant for the first time and opted for takeout. The food was very fresh, and the staff were friendly. The cleanliness of the place stood out as well.
I ordered a Club on a Sub for takeout earlier this evening and asked for it to be fully loaded. However, when I got home, I found that the sandwich only had turkey, ham, and mayo. There was no cheese, lettuce, tomato, or even bacon!
