Two of us went to Pot Belly for lunch on this rainy day, we were looking forward to using some points that we had accrued from catering a corporate lunch. The GM was the rudest woman I have ever met, while we were in line, we mentioned that we were together for payment's sake, to which she responded very aggressively that they are understaffed and we would have to wait. I then added yeah, no worries, we just wanted to let you know that we are paying together. She then copped an attitude and said, I figured you were since you walked in together. (Walking in together does not equate to paying together). We waited patiently and then when it was time to pay, there was confusion over using the points on our account. We had checked off which item we wanted to redeem per her instruction, scanned it, and she barked back at us, I'm telling you what's on my screen, I then told her well this is what is checked off on his screen. Her rudeness was through the roof at this point, I was uncomfortable, and my fiance called her on attitude. She then proceeded to me that we were the problem and instead of taking a minute to help us figure out what the confusion was, she told us that she is number 14 in the country and does not need our money, that we could go and her and her employee would eat our food. What an awful experience. What an awful manager, instead of trying to help us, immediately jumps to telling us we can leave because she doesn't need our business, even worse, that she would eat the food. So disappointing, will surely never be back to this location for personal use or catering company lunches either. Will never recommend.
I was getting a sandwich while a training was happening, and the manager explicitly told the team that if they couldn't find someone to fill in for them they still had to come in, in person, even if they're sick. They said they'd likely get sent home, but they had to at least check in.That's:1. Gross2. Violates ESST if the employee has a doctor's note, and I'm assuming Potbelly's doesn't offer health insurance to their part time employees so getting a doctor's note isn't affordable.I'm not surprised to see predatory and unsanitary work practices, but maybe don't announce it in front of customers. Also was asked for a tip at the register, so it's fun to see they know they're not paying their employees properly.
Ordered skinny chicken salad. There was so little chicken salad on it that is was mostly lettuce and tomato. Shame because it is a good sandwich usually) but has to be a sufficient quantity to amount to more than the fixins .
Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never go back to this potbelly! The lady running the cashier has been extremely rude every time I've been hear. Never again!!!!
The person training the new staff shouldn't even be working with customers. I was sitting waiting for my online order when the long haired blond woman snapped at the customer at the register for asking for a bag. It was unnecessary that she acted like that. Once he left, she bad mouthed him to the new employee while other customers were in the restaurant. Then I continued to wait my turn as another person came in waiting for their online order. Since he walked up and asked if his order was ready, she said I will work on yours because the other person isn't here. I was there! So my sandwiches sat there getting cold as she completed his order. When I walked up asking about my order, she then raised her voice at me and told me to be patient. She then hands me my bag with a huff. The food was good even though it was cold, but the service was absolutely disgusting.
